Well - - I just tried edamame for the very first time, and I was hugely impressed. They were delicious! I just cooked them in the pod a little, and salted them, and ate them. I had made a little sauce of rice vinegar, hoisin, soy sauce, b sugar and a touch of sesame oil to dip them in, and it was delicious, but the beans themselves were so good, I ate most of them naked.

I just had to share this, but to make it worthy of a thread, how do all of you folks cook/serve/eat YOUR edamame?

karenlovessnow - - try them like that. They are so good. After I drained them, I sprinkled some sea salt on them in the pod, and them ate them by sliding the beans out with my teeth. Very satisfying; a great replacement snack for chips or popcorn!
