There's not much of a story to tell. I've been eating vegetarian for about two weeks. Beyond my husband, and well... you all, I haven't told anyone. This is mainly because I was a vegetarian for about a month once and it didn't hold. Like any relationship, I don't want to yell "OMG!!! He's my boyfriend!!!" when we've only been seeing each other for a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure I'll be a 100% vegetarian long-term. I think I'm more of a compassionatarian. My main issue with meat is the cruelty around it, not the actual killing of animals. I guess if I felt animal X had a good life and didn't suffer when it died, then I could eat it. This stems from growing up on a small animal, organic farm. I don't hunt or fish, so I don't see this difference affecting me much, though.

I guess right now I'm still transitioning. We have a lot of non-veg*n foods in the house. My plan is to feed them to my husband and replace them with foods we can both enjoy. He will remain omni, but since I do all the grocery shopping and cooking, he'll have to make a break for meat only when we go out. He's ok with that.
