New here and thought I'd say Hi. I stopped eating beef and pork months ago and found that I didn't really miss it at all so it seemed like a good time to go vegetarian. Chicken and fish are next. I received some pretty strange looks from people when they found out my intentions but overall my friends have been supportive (and I'm not much worried about the opinions of anyone else ). I organically grow a lot of my own vegetables and just recently turned my interest to hydroponics so I can grow them year round. I also love art, music, and photography . I guess that's about it...it's very nice to meet everyone!

I feel for you, I'm in the upstate of SC and it's not the most vegan/vegetarian friendly place.

But with a little creativity you can get by and do fine!

I lived int he upstate about 10 years ago, so I can't speak for it now. But, Columbia is really coming around. We have nice groceries with vegan products, and we even have a few vegan restaurants: Lamb's Bread and GoodLife Cafe.
