Hello, everyone!
I'm a Texas vegan who started a vegan diet almost a year ago after a wake up call and a hospital stay for high blood pressure. I'm also diabetic. I began with the 21-day vegan kickstart and just kept going! I lost about 40 lbs in the first 4 months. I gained some back while taking care of a sick friend, but now I am re-committing to a healthy vegan diet (low fat, low salt). Glad to be here.

So good to hear what are blood sugar levels now? Are they more stabalized now I am curious :) I used to struggle with blood sugar spikes and crashes until I became vegan I rarely have a spike only if I eat a lot of cane sugar (sugar from fruit seems to have no affect) I know when my sugar spikes because my hands and feet go numb and tingly... My blood sugar goes low only when I do not eat for 6hrs, and I can wake up without low blood sugar any more my body can stabilize its bloodsugar through the night now!
