I'm Fae, and I'm thinking seriously of becoming a vegetarian. I am having a lot of health issues, and nothing I do (cleanses, detoxes, herbals) seems to help. I was reading some stuff by Dr. Christoper, and he said that until you change your lifestyle and diet, nothing will make you well, so here I am. I'm somewhat of a flexitarian now, and might have some problem giving up meat entirely. I don't eat red meat, but I do love some kinds of pork and chicken. Yes, I have watched Food, Inc., and was raised in the country, so I'm well aware of how they are killed. I'm going vegetarian for the health benefits, not because I'm all against killing animals, but I don't want to get into that debate.

Looking forward to reading and learning.

Hi Fae! Even after being vegan for a few weeks I can tell you that changing my diet and my lifestyle has already started to impact my health tremendously! I wish you great success in your new venture -- and always feel free to ask questions.

I became a vegetarian at 15 after losing yet another young relative to heart disease. I did some research trying to find a way to escape my family's legacy. A defect in the handling of cholesterol runs in our family. I've had relatives start cholesterol lowering meds as ages as young as age 6! After 17 years, I am still watching cousins younger than myself swallowing numerous heart meds, going through multiple heart surgeries and succumbing to heart attacks and cancer. Doctors are always amazed by my health... especially cholesterol count. I only wish any one of them had/ would follow my example. I truly know that it has made the difference.
