We have made a number of attempts to work with the mayor of Clawson, Mayor Barbara L. Iseppi, but to no avail.<br><br><br><br>
Were hopeing that a petition, with the signatures of over 10,000 people will persuade her to understand that she as well as the other city officals have no right to capture and kill any form of wildlife.<br><br><br><br>

The situation is this... a few months back I received a letter about a matter in Clawson Michigan where a raccoon was trapped by city officials, left in a cage for days with no food, no water and was eventually killed by a local police officer. Further investigation showed that the city had at one time a "catch and release program" in which all forms of wildlife that were considered a nuisance were trapped and release outside the city limits. With in the past year the city adopted a new program in which any form of wildlife trapped by city officials is euthanized.<br><br>
We have made attempts to reach the mayor requesting that all captured wildlife be released to the care of the S.C.A.N. foundation, so proper placement can be made of the animals.<br><br><br><br>
No response as of now.<br><br><br><br>
