what's the best way to look up magazine and journal articles online? I'm trying to avoid going to the library - is there a good site anyone would suggest?<br><br><br><br>

i actually have a list to choose from - they're all anthropology/environmental related. i just used google and found something but my computer freaked out and that page was all messed up.<br><br><br><br>
some are from the chicago press, science journal - most are books - dont wanna deal with those right now.

I believe you'll have to go straight to the specific source and look the articles up through their archives. There's no one particular site that you can use as a search engine for all the articles you need to find.

Have you ever used OCLC ArticleFirst? I use that sometimes, but that's a second choice to CIOS for me since I'm usually looking for academic articles in the communications field.

about.com is usually pretty good for finding online articles but the popups are annoying
