I smoked for 20 years. I quit when I got pregnant. I thank God every day for having been able to quit and not look back. It's a very strong addiction.

I would advise you not to smoke, not just for health reasons but also, as stated above, because you will save a TREMENDOUS amount of money by not smoking ! You could put what you would spend on cigarettes in a savings account and see how fast it grows ! That would be a nice incentive !

Instead of smoking, I would advise you to join a sports club and start doing something physical to get rid of stress. Preferably something outdoors (it will make you appreciate your lungs more), but any sport should do it (except maybe for bowling or darts, where people smoke while competing... LOL). Running, athletics, tennis, swimming, diving, anything that would make you feel less stressed and put you in a group that would - hopefully - be attracted by other passtimes and challenges than poisoning themselves (because that's what it amounts to, in the end).

Find yourself some constructive challenges and incentives. If necessary, find yourself some new friends. You can do it !
