I have a fear of lentils.

I have only eaten them a couple times, and gotten a stomach ache both times, so I attributed it to the lentils.

Only... that makes no sense. I can eat any other sort of bean/split pea and I'm totally fine. The first time with the lentils thing, let's just say I was in an extremely stressful situation, and looking back at it now, I belive it also involved onions which I know for SURE make me sick now. (oof)

I don't remember the other time, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of the lentils either.

It's been easy enough to avoid lentils up until this point, BUT, on Sunday I'm having a vegetarian potluck for my birthday. There are going to be 15 guests (some are couples so they won't be all be bringing a dish) and out of those people, one is a vegetarian, and one is a pescatarian (well, and me, of course, I'm a vegetarian). Two of my omno friends are bringing lentil dishes, and I know I have to try them because my omni friends are making an effort here and are enthusiastic about cooking vegetarian things for me and coming for my party.

So I need some reassurance that lentils are no different than any other legume and I'm being crazy. Or something

And yes, I plan on photographing all the yummy things people bring for my party!!
