Hello all,<br><br><br><br>
I've lurked around on VB for a month now and thought I should introduce myself.<br><br>
I'm a 28 year old vegetarian who grew up in India, currently living in NYC and will be moving to London next month. I grew up vegetarian, in a country where being vegetarian is totally unremarkable, so I'm still getting used to the umm, interesting reaction that being vegetarian sometime provokes here. Eg.,<br><br><br><br>
Friend: you're vegetarian?! Where do you get your protein?<br><br>
Me (looking puzzled): mostly from food.<br><br>
Little old lady: If you feed your kids no meat you are going to stunt their growth!<br><br>
Me (staring down from my 5 feet 8 inches height, and I'm a girl): (still looking puzzled)<br><br><br><br>
VB has really helped provide answers to some of the stranger questions I get asked (I totally love the 'funny things omnis say...' thread), and I hope to contribute often: my job is crazy busy, so I might not be too chatty on weekdays, but the weekends are mine, all mine!
