Hi, Im Kaity and im Australian teenager who has been vegetarian since i was six. Im on exchange in Japan and having ALOT of problems with people not understanding why I am vegetarian because it is against their culture i guess. My last host mother seemed to think that i became vegetarian just to inconvenience her and tried to sneak meat into my dinner many times... Looking for vegetarians to talk to who understand the concept of being vegetarian, lol...

Your situation seems frustrating, but just keep positive. I understand where you're coming from. I have a friend from Japan who came to America as a foreign exchange student, and explaining to her what vegetarianism was was quite a challenge.<br><br><br><br>
There are plenty of supportive people here, so you shouldn't have any problems finding people to talk to!<br><br><br><br>
