Hmm. This seems like an interesting forum.

Anyways, my name is James. Or Jimmy. Doesn't really matter what you call me. I recently just turned 20, and I'm currently in college. I've been a vegetarian for almost a year now; this upcoming Thanksgiving ( I actually don't remember what the exact date was, but it was around November) will be my one year anniversary. Not really sure about most people here, but I found the transition to Vegetarianism to be relatively simple. Like giving up soda, I never really understood why some people think it's impossible. I just decided one day that I didn't want to eat meat anymore, and I never had any pertinent interest to go back. Maybe I've just never been a fan of meat in general. I'm also interested in becoming a Vegan. :]

So yeah, I think that's a decent enough intro. Yes, that'll do!

Hey Jimmy, I'm new too. Becoming Vegetarian wasn't very easy for me because I did it at 11, well actually Vegan but...like I've said before I was on and off. But I'm THRILLED that you're interested in becoming Vegan, if you do it'll probably be the best decision you ever make. So welcome!!!!

Haha thanks. But yes, the transition to Veganism is definitely something I want to pursue this year. Again, I don't think it will be necessarily a difficult achievement in terms of just giving up milk and eggs, but I do think it's more a lack of resources type of problem. I've never really found a milk alternative that I'm comfortable with. Everyone says soy milk is good, but I never cared for it. Almond milk was even worse for me. I've also been trying to cut back with eggs, too.

It's honey too, but yes it is hard for some people to find good alternatives...I was all alone in my decision so I just had to try things and now I have my favorites and such. I have never liked plain or vanilla soymilk, I drink the Silk brand chocolate kind, my favorite is the light chocolate. I used to love vanilla almond milk but it lost it's luster for me, and the chocolate is very rich. you should really try chocolate soymilk, it tastes great. But they also have hemp milk, oat milk, hazlenut milk, over seven different vegan milks out there. I don't reccomend hemp milk for straight up drinking but it makes your smoothies give you mouthgasms.
