Hey my name is Lina and I want to transition to 95% vegan, 5% pescetarian in uni, then once I graduate, 100% vegan. I start uni in the fall of this year & I joined veggie boards in order to find support, advice and recipes! I'm seriously allergic to milk & it's derivates and gluten. I've wanted to go vegan since I was about 11, but back then I wanted to change my diet for all the wrong reasons... I was scrolling through pro-ana websites and I really wanted to drastically change my eye color (I have brown/hazel eyes and I really wanted blue eyes, and I saw fullyrawkristina's video about how her eyes changed color when she went fully raw...). At 13, my thoughts about body image changed, I looked into various Goddess spiritual revival movements, changed my previous views on religion, and I came to a healthy state of mind. Then I wanted to go vegan for the right reasons, mother Gaia, the animals, humanity's health, etc. I'm now 18. After much thought (and becoming semi-addicted to plaintains & tofu) I've realized that the fully raw vegan diet isn't for me, but veganism IS! Anyway just wanted to say hi, and that I'm really excited about finally being able to eat how I want to! Also if anyone has any tips for eating yummily while staying gluten-free on this diet, those would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Hi lina,

Mercy For Animals has a well-written, beautifully-illustrated Vegetarian (actually vegan) Starter Guide: http://www.mercyforanimals.org/files/VSG.pdf

On page 7 is a great summary of vegan nutrition, and pages 11-13 have very easy meal ideas:
Thanks David!!
