Hi to everyone. I'm a girl from Glasgow, 31, been veggie for 12 years and still going strong!

I love Itallian food and hate Korean due to bad experience featuring pork in a "Vegie" dish in a Korean restaurant in Finnieston!

I decided to go Veggie back in 1994 in protest to factory farming. I then got hold of the book "Why You Don't Need Meat" by Peter Cox and after that there was defo no going back!

Hi Amy,

YES!!! I brought some on a trip to Edinburgh a few years ago and loved it! My ex brought the meat version and never ate it, though he did have some in the hotel and liked it, of course he did not know what it was at the time...mwahahahaha He said he liked the veg version also though.

Yes there is such a thing as a veggie haggis! It's really tasty and way better than the original meaty version.

Hey there VeggieHaggis! My wife, daughter and I are flying your way in 3 days - a three week tour based in Edinburg, then Inverness, then Tarbert (the one nearer to you). I'm sure we'll be daytripping to Glasgow. Where do we eat? Any good vegetarian restaurants?

Hi Nigel,

Theres a few veggie places on the outskirts of the city centre:

Grassroots Cafe, 97 St. Georges Rd (at Charing Cross)

Mono, 12 Kings Court, King Street (at Argyll Street/City Centre)

Tchai-Ovna, Otago Lane

'Vegetarian Cafe' 402 Great Western Road

Some may have websites if you do a google search.

The majority of restaurants in the centre cater for veggies too so you should have no problems.
