Hello everyone! I am new to the full vegetarian lifestyle and was so happy to come across this message board! I have always been a picky eater and gave up meat awhile back after not having a desire to eat it and just recently gave up fish and sea food products before the new year.

While I am debating if I ever want to go full vegan I am in the experimental phase of trying new soy and other vegetarian products. Please send your advice on brands that you like best!

Happy belated new year to everyone!

Welcome to VB!
Congrats on making the switch to a veg diet!

If you're willing to buy occasional frozen meals, I've found that many items in the Amy's (no relation) line are quite good. I don't like everything, but that's my personal taste. You'd have to try them and decide for yourself.

For soy lunch "meats", there are Lightlife, Yves and Tofurkey Deli Slices. I like the Tofurky slices the best, and other people on VB tend to agree with me, but again, it's up to you to decide which you like best.

Thank you for the welcome everyone! So far I am still sticking to dairy, I have had a very hard time switching over with the different taste. It's not something I plan to do right away and go vegan but I am just experimenting.

Thanks Again!

Hi, Musikgal06
Welcome!

I really enjoy the 8th Continent Light Soymilk. Try the vanilla in a bowl of cereal. Yummay!

Hey, good to meet you.
You don't have to go with wholly new meals - baked potato and beans is pretty good and vegan (depending on the beans, obviously!) or peanut butter and banana sandwiches. As long as you make sure of getting enough veggies too!
