my name is nik, im new to the forum... obviously.

i use to be vegitarian, then vegan; however i found it to hard to continue life w/o meat. not sure what it was but i felt better and stronger w/ a steak every once and a while.

im looking to get back into the healthy lifestyle of being a vegitarian again, so any help and encouragment would be cool.

i guess i'm just looking for a forum to vent, ramble, and make some new friends along the way. of the forums i found, this has the least amount of negativity towards members; although i do find the adds on EVERYPAGE somewhat annoying but i'm sure i'll get use to them.

?no spell check on the messages? i am a bad speller to say the least, guess i'll learn sooner or later that you can't get by w/ spell check!

Welcome! I don't really have a lot of advice about going back to vegetarianism, since I've never had a slip. All I would say is that if you had the will power to do it once, especially having been vegan at one point, then I'm sure you can do it again if you are dedicated enough. And yes, this is a very open and welcome place and there are plenty of other things being talked about then vegetarianism. So once again, welcome.

thank you very much. Have been doing portraits in pencil lately and haven't had the resources to do sculptures, when I get a new cord for my digital camera I will post my life size drawings. But I plan on getting back into sculpture next year when I have some free time to take art classes. I actually started out vegan, which I was for four year, and since then have been vegetarian, I guess three years for that.

Welcome to VB! I wish you luck with your transition back to a meatless diet. I think you'll find lots of help and support here.

As for spellcheck, it's available on VB, but only with IE, and you have to install it. If you're using IE: In the quick reply or new reply window, move your cursor to the top of the window on the right and see if a spellcheck box highlights. If so, click on it and install it.

I use IE at home, but Mozilla Firefox on my work computer, so at work I have to eyeball and manually spellcheck my VB posts. But I transcribe medical reports for a living, so I'm used to doing that!

welcome to VB! I hope you manage a smooth transition back. Like someone else said, I guess if you can do it once you can do it again.
