The current heat wave is bad for everyone. Hundreds of people have died including a pregnant woman at a Red Sox ballgame. The difference between people and animals however is that people can use their heads to stay cool. Why oh why was a woman who was SEVEN months pregnant at a ballgame in this heat? Probably because she and her husband had tickets they didn't want to waste. But she paid for her loyal fanhood with her life. Fortunately the baby was saved so his dad can raise him to be a loyal Red Sox fan too. Although humans could make better choices than to get out in this horrible heat, animals that are confined to feed lots or hot barns without air conditioning cannot help themselves. Thousands of dairy cows have died and are dying in California. If it were not for human lust for animals and animal products these animals if in the wild could find shade and water themselves, but instead they are at the mercy of their humans owners.
