with my first pregnancy, i got bad headaches and they have started again...from what i understand, its dues to hormones and they're supposed to lesson after the 1st trimester...they got worse in the second trimester last time and i'm approaching that time now...tylenol does NOTHING to these headaches--really laying down is the only thing that seems to help...with the first pregnancy i got a prescription that literally knocked me out, so i could only take them after work/when there was nothing else going on--and i didn't take them that often, because if there was nothing going on, i could lay down anyway...so, here i am with these awful headaches again, but its even harder this time because i have a 3 year old, so there is no time to go lay down (unless the headaches conviently come during his nap/bedtime) and i don't want to take anything that knocks me out because i need to be alert if he needs me...i'm looking for any advice/ideas to ease the pain while avoiding strong meds...

ps--also, not always, but many times it seems like they come on at the same time of day (late afternoon--not a stressful time and i usually have a snack midafternoon, so its not that)...

thanks for any help!
