I've had what I think is a sinus headache on one side of my head for a week. It's not really that bad--I've had migraines in the past, so I'm not going to kid myself. However, schoolwork is piling up and it's very difficult for me to concentrate, read, or stare at a computer screen while my head hurts. It's driving me insane and stressing me out even more.

Normally I just wait them out or try to sleep them off, depending on the severity, but with all my schoolwork, this isn't an option. I've been taking sinus pills (phenelephrine, or something like that) and ibuprofen. I've also been trying to rest my eyes during breaks, but it comes right back as soon as I look at the computer. What else can I do? Any good headache remedies out there?

If it is sinusitis, you might have to take an antibiotic. If mucus doesn't empty out of the sinuses, you might inhale hot camomille, or tap softly on the front sinus, or even a yoga technique like summing AUM/Om might help (I believe because of the vibrations and not so much because of the vibes), but this takes more effort and might noz fully resolve your problem.

Pinching the skin between the thumb and forfinger and breathing deeply for thirty seconds has been known to help. However, if it is sinus related, the best thing I can suggest is to go to the doctor - you might have a blockage.
