I'm just wondering if through your activism you've ever seen the change at the other end happen?
I'd really like to hear your stories
I'm getting involved in some projects at the moment and I'm being hopeful that I might see some good come out of it

Well, I urged a friend of mine to become vegetarian, and now he is a vegan. Does that count? (I think he really was ready for the leap, he just needed someone to guide him in the right direction.) But even if we don't see any change, we shouldn't be discouraged. Becoming a vegetarian is a long process with some people, and they have to let the idea mature before they decide to act on it.

So whatever you do, keep doing it, even if the results aren't as expected.

I don't think I have ever failed to change that in very short time indeed ...

Several of my friends have told me that they are much more open to vegetarian/vegan food options because they've been around me, and I make it look easy. Someone also told me that I am a "good ambassador" for chihuahuas.

I leaflet and do a bit of direct action that I can't talk about on here, which I *know* has caused change.

And my leafletting has made dozens of vegans. So yes, I make change!

Awesome

I won't stop my idea... I'm trying to be geniuinely informative to people and its part of my belief system. I would just feel stoked though if I saw a company making change as the result of something I kick-started.

I did manage to convert a friend to Veganism Although, she's gone back to omnivore diet now (she's part of a self sufficient co-op type thing)... but at least she had her eyes opened.

Yes. Every now and then I get emails that thank me for helping someone go or stay vegan. When I made videos I got way more of those letters (but I also got a lot of nastiness too). On my website I once did a survey to see how it impacted readers and the results were 100% positive! People said they eat more vegan meals or do more activism.

MY boyfriend (now my fiance) became vegetarian after I did. And I know some people won't be attending any more animal circuses after we protested. A family member that went to the circus wrote me an email saying she will never go again because she realized it was cruel. A few other people stopped by and acted interested about it as well. It was funny because I wasn't expecting anybody from my family to attend the circus. Imagine the weird feeling seeing your family walk by to go in the circus and see you holding a protest sign lol.
