I hope this hasn't been discussed already somewhere but I couldn't find it. Which chewing gums and/or mints are vegan, if any?

I like Penguin Mints. Their gum sucks, though.

www.peppermints.com

In the US, the Wrigley's stick gums are vegan. Some of the "crunchy shell" ones are too, but I'm failing to recall which. Same with Trident. I think Casein was the offending ingredient in the hardshell varieties, but I generally think they're gross, so I didn't pay close attention when reading about it.

I dunno, I steer clear of all those hardshell/liquid center gums, becasue a lot of them seem to have gelatin. It sucks, too, because it's so common for people to just offer you gum, and you don't have a chance to check the ingredients without making a scene, and yet conventional wisdom says, "Take the gum. They're trying to tell you your breath stinks!" So I say No, thanks, and then reach for one of my Penguins.
