Hi everyone. I'm new to the board and a relatively new vegan. I started my vegan diet about 7 weeks ago, because I was just tired of feeling tired from consuming dairy and to be honest never enjoyed eating meat or any animal when I really think about it.

It started with my falling out of love with dairy, then moved on to animal products in general.

I'm doing o.k. with it, and I really enjoy the guilt free eating (all the time it seems) and I love the challenge of cooking totally vegan meals with tofu and tempeh both of which I love...

I was wondering if anyone had any strange physical symptoms from converting to a vegan diet cold turkey (veg turkey of course)? I was fine the first couple of weeks but have noticed how my body's digestion has changed and just recently I've had weird pains in my hip joints and knees that lasted for about 2 days. Nothing severe just a dull aching pain that also included the kidney area. Now that I do a full out body check, I don't have them any more but I did. I was wondering if anyone had any of this 6 - 8 weeks into a new vegan diet.

Other than that, I feel amazing and I've lost up to 16 pounds in 7 weeks. Damn that half & half!

Thanks for existing!

I actually haven't been exercising more but I'm in the process of moving my entire life into a new home and I do work about 8 - 12 hours a day. This might have something to do with the changes going on in my vessel... I'm sure it's temporary and it will even itself out. It's nothing that feels dangerous or permanent for that matter... If it does become serious or anything to the doctor I will go. Thanks everyone for your replies and warm welcome...

Thanks guys...

Turns out that it was just my body adjusting to it's new fuel. It only lasted about 2 days anyway.... I feel great!
