Hi everyone!

I'm Vera (24) from Finland. I've been a vegetarian for many years, a couple a vegan but just got so little self-control that had to drop a bit down. Hopefully someday I'll be able to "go back" to it. I've lived with my fiancee, meat-eater, for some years now. I'm a student and got interested in animal rights and vegetarianism in my teen years. I'm pretty much "protect life" person, I'm against war, abortion and the capital punishment. I'm a feminine feminist with high heels, perfume and pastel colourse. I love old movies, jazz&blues as well as Jane Austen.

Hi Vera!

My name is Vera TOO! How exciting, you don't meet that many Vera's (well not often here in the US)!

I'm 28 and more of an ecological vegan, although I love the animals too (just not my primary motivation for veg*nism).

I'm also a student of geography (in my last year of undergrad)... And I'm girly in a hippie kind of way (sandals and not high heels for me)!

I look forward to seeing you around, though most importantly...

WELCOME!

Thanks everyone!

I actually just plain misspelled "colours" but I have to say that I have studied French for five years. I can listen to some french programs, but have forgotten how to speak it myself. I love languages, but my favorite one is without a doubt - polish. It's just perfection.
But it's nice that everyone now thinks that because of a misspelled word I'm now an avant garde intellectual..
Maybe I should misspell more words?

I'm also a buddhist, have two wonderful dogs (well, at least when they're not fighting with each other) and plan on working with the elderly (I study social sciences). I absolutely love cakes, I'm a chocoholic and love anything fried (plant-based). Which I guess explains the excess pounds that I've gained over few last years when I learned to cook more than steamed broccoli & carrots with white rice. *lol*

I would love to have 3 or 4 children someday, whom we would raise vegan with my fiancee (who respects my beliefs). I do try to practice meditation, yoga and pilates, but I'm not very good in any of them, my concentration is poor and I'm stiff as a rock.

Sorry echowarrior.. My name is actually not Vera, but I love it as it reminds me of actress Vera Miles.
It's pretty popular name in Finland, usually spelled Veera. My irl-name is actually pretty unknown here, since it's originally from latvian (my family isn't from Latvia, they thought it was a beautiful popular name at it's time and wanted me to have it).

now all you need to do is 'polish' your french madmoiselle!... and go easy on the fried veg, so you can still perform your duties in high heels with grace

Not good for your toes mind you either way, but to a woman I guess that is a secondary concern to looking good or classy in your case
hehehe...Thats kinda how you come across anyway. You seem down to earth enough though! I would say I like you.... (preferably I would say that end note in another language but instead I have to stand out like a sore thumb by saying it in english)
