i have an aquantience who has to give up her beloved grayhound. the situation in very sad. (please no one assume my friend is irresponsible or does not take her commitment to muffin seriously... she is in a very sad and extreme situation where she is doing the most loving thing she can for her dog-friend)

that said, we are looking for the best possible home for this dog. muffin is five years old and very sweet. she is well trained and good with children. muffin currently lives in ct. muffin is not eligable for most grayhound rescue because she was never a runner. any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Too bad she's not eligible for greyhound rescue groups. All I can think of recommending is posting her profile and picture on petfinder.org., or possibly see if a local rescue group will let her bring her to one of their adoption days out at a store or some other public place (our local groups often have them at Petsmart or Petco). Please let us know how it goes.

thanks for the info vegankittykat, i forwarded rachels mom the petfinder info, but i may have some good news already! i bombed the building i live in with flyers and one of my neighbors may be adopting rachel. i know the woman who responded to the flyer, shes a good person who loves and takes excellent care of the dog she has (german shepherd rotti x) if the two dogs get along, rachel has a good home.
