Vanilla tends to be the most dishsoapy. Especially Silk Vanilla! Silk chocolate, however, is yummy.<br><br><br><br>
For plain, original flavor, I prefer Soy Dream. I think it works best on cereal too. It doesn't alter the flavor like some soy milks can.
Silk regular from the "dairy" case is my favorite<br><br>
(I don't much care for the asceptic packaged soy milks)<br><br>
It has body and a nice flavor to me.<br><br>
My daughter is not vegan and she prefers it to milk.<br><br><br><br>
I also like Rice Dream (if you like skim milk - this is a good one) Also found in the "dairy" case. Again - the asceptic rice milks taste bad to me.<br><br><br><br>
Some people recommend almond milk and other nut milks, but I've never tried those.<br><br><br><br>
I make my own soy milk, and it's not very good (tastes bland and weak). I make Yuba and tofu with it - and sometimes mix it with silk for drinking.
It's been a long time since I've had it, but Almond Breeze brand almond milk is really good. it has a very nice almond flavor to it (unlike the Pacific brand). I'm also very fond of oatmilk.<br><br>
Also - if you're new to non-dairy milks, just give yourself some time, they do take some getting used to.

Never EVER drink edensoy. you will hurl.</b></div>
I'll second that motion. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""><br><br><br><br>
Almond milk tends to be very sweet. I recommend it if the taste of soymilk turns you off.
Mmmm, Silk Chocolate Soymilk is my favorite.<br><br><br><br>
I transitioned myself to soymilk by starting with chocolate, and then vanilla, and then finally plain, but I tend to drink the chocolate most often because I like it the best. ^__^<br><br><br><br>
ETA: I've had good luck cooking with Vitasoy Original.
Hm! Another way to ween yourself off the taste of real milk... If you like lattes, go for the coffee flavored soymilks. You're not thinking "milk".. you're thinking "mmm.. mocha.. coffee.."<br><br>
For a while I was pouring the Sun Soy coffee flavor over my corn flakes because that was the only one I could stand.
well see, I grew up as a fatty on skim milk. So thick milks were always hands off, the only time I could have whole milk was at my granpa's house, even though it would cause me to have horrible stomach cramps and diareiah, I still drank it. SO that is why I prefer thick soymilks over reciedream and other "skimmy" milks.
I drank Rice Dream for YEARS until my store was out of it and I tried Silk. It's *delicious*!! I haven't bought Rice Dream since.<br><br><br><br>
I do remember, though, when I first stopped drinking milk I *hated* all forms of soy milk. I think rice milk was easier to transition to, then after I'd completely forgotten about cow milk I was able to switch to soy.<br><br><br><br>
Oh, I always hated whole milk! It was like drinking bad butter or something. Far too rich. Actually, I never really liked any kind of cow's milk... When my dad first introduced me to soy I was ecstatic. "What, you mean I don't have to pour the cow excrement on my cereal? Rockin!"
