Yeah, I'll be in the area b/t Destin and Panama City this upcoming week.

I should have posted this earlier, I know.

Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for some good restaurants for this vegan? No, the restaurant itself doesn't have to be veg*n but just one that has some options or is flexible/willing to make something.

(Yeah, we go every year but I thought I'd lob this one out there to see if there were any restaurants with which I'm not yet familiar or hadn't yet tried... there are LOTS of them in the area.) And depending... am willing to drive to either city... or stay in the area. We'll be on 30-A up the road from Seaside. (No, we're not in seaside b/c they want STUPID money to stay there. )

So.... (rubs hands) whatcha got for me?

So, I'm here... (took laptop and only reason I'm online is that it has been raining).

It's likely we'll end up at our "usual" haunts but I'd still love to see if anyone has any suggestions... anyone ....anyone?

There is the Mellow Mushroom for pizza, and there is an italian place called Grazie's that is good:the eggplant parmigiana on angel hair is really good(if you are vegetarian, not vegan). These are both in Destin. Grazie is kind of close to Wal Mart (across the street and towards Fort Walton).

If there is a Mellow Mushroom, they have much more then pizza. They have hummus, I have had a tofu and sprout sub there and they have alot of options. The atmosphere is cool and they have more options then a normal place.

I'm way too late. But I'm in panama city. There aren't any special places around here. Lots of chains that you can eat at, but nothing worth any extra effort. Also most of the nicer places will make vegan meals if you request them, especially if you call ahead.

Yup.... This is retrospect, but buffets are popular, and I would avoid them. I think I remember that Shoney's might actually have enough things to eat (not as explicit menu items, though), even though I was omni last time I ate there.
