Hello, I'm Rachel. It's great to finally find a place with so many other vegans/vegetarians!

I'm not really sure what kind of introduction you all would like, so if there's anything you want to know, just ask!

Helloooo, or Good mooorrrnin !!!! A fun & radio1 DJ has that slogan here in the UK.

so Virgin Vegan, how are your paintings as said in profile 'a little out there' ? What is your desired brush or thing for artistry and what sort is it you do? I'm not a painter, but wanna ask how you view painters like yourself in the sense of what class of painter are you and in which way creative do you deem to be, etc... Whatever works for you on canvas, sure, but does it always work out how you imagine. Very likely not with some people, so thats probably the first challenge in painting I reckon~ that is accepting you may not be brilliant in translating whats in your head onto canvas all at once right?

But then again, if you're a natural, swell, lets hear it... how do you bring all the elements together to make the texture and composition of an image the way you want it, does it just happen without pretence when at your best or what??

Well, my paintings are not only paintings, but "sculptures" as well. When I settle on one of the many "themes" floating around in my head, I look for solid, 3 demensional objects, and I put them into my paintings. You would have to see one, but I don't feel comfortable posting my artwork on the internet.

Before I started this type of art, yes, creating the picture from the image in my mind was/is VERY difficult. Sometimes you have imagined the most beautiful scene you think will ever be imagined, and something in the curve of the flower's petals, or the arrow-like straightness of the river is nearly impossible to put anywhere but inside your mind.

I don't know what type of brush I use, I may be extremely interested in painting, but I've never paid attention to those sorts of things.

That may be odd, but there it is.

K, well answered,

and WAIT FOR IT, about the brush, I was not thinking about the animal issue when I posted either, but now it re-occurs to me from knowing thats a factor in the back of my mind, maybe its something you might consider someday, I don't know....

Its NOT odd though to NOT think about that stuff, you only young anyway, lots to do and learn on your way to developing opinions etc.... so wheat from the chaff, (so to speak) you're probs actually better off not worrying about what maybe small stuff for the time being like animal hair right now unless you feel a surge of pure vegan

duty in you (take it easy though, its early in the game still for you being vegan, but its not such a struggle once you get used to it be assured, but always a challenge thats for certain!!).

So anyway hair was never alive, although there maybe reasons people give about that to suggest maybe animal hair is a bad thing, but I'm not pro enough in that department to comment as I am not a painter. BUT LOOK, here talk of it is a head full already so its best you just enjoy what you do, and perhaps have the issue on your to do list if you feel it applies to you. Whatever really!! Enjoy VB and your painting!! No worries that we can't see it.

take care/ have fun and whatever....

Welcome. You have the second-coolest name on the planet. And now I must accept that I will run into people named Rach(a)el everywhere, even on the nets (where, I have noticed, they never use their real name as their screenname).

Anyway, welcome to VB! Glad to have you here.

Wow, I must say that I;m not at all surprissed to meet another Rachel/Rachael. The name is quite popular. I usually use my name as my screen name, accomponied by my middle name. I strongly considered doing that here, but decided it was time for a little change.

Normally Rachel_Koey, Always VirginVegan.
