Are there any on here? Could you please help me? My sister thinks she has a gluten allergy, but she's not sure, yet. Any cookbooks, websites, advice, support? Thank you.

I am! here are some links to some gluten free vegan recipes from my blog:<br><a href="http://spidergrrlvstheworld.blogspot.com/2011/07/staff-of-life.html" target="_blank">http://spidergrrlvstheworld.blogspot...f-of-life.html</a> for burger buns<br><a href="http://spidergrrlvstheworld.blogspot.com/2011/07/fudgy-wudgy-brownies.html" target="_blank">http://spidergrrlvstheworld.blogspot...-brownies.html</a> for brownies<br><br>
I gave up wheat as it was making me feel like alien baby was going to rip me open and decided I might as well go ahead and learn some gluten free recipes as well and i like them so much and feel so much better (even better than when i was baking with spelt) that i've decided that gluten free is the way for me.

There is a cookbook called The Gluten-Free Vegan by Susan O'Brien. Some good all-around recipes, even if you don't need to eliminate gluten.

Thanks, you guys. She's done an elimination test, but so far, I haven't heard anything but "She suspects she has a gluten allergy." Nothing positive yet.

I can't believe how much flatter my belly is after giving up gluten. I have no random stomach pain after eating either.

Sorry to hear about your sister but she needs to be checked and tested to be sure what's going on...As for me, I started having a gluten free diet. It's been a week now and I see and feel the difference! How I wish I started with this early on...<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/grin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":D">

I am the author of an upcoming cookbook series, all of which the baked goods are gluten-free and vegan. The first book is out in a few weeks, while the second is due in a couple months (I'm also looking for recipe testers, if anyone is at all interested).<br><br>
If you have specific questions, too, I can help. Purp, she can email me directly if you want to PM me, and I can send you my contact info.
