Hi. At the moment I have a vegetarian diet. I'm not sure about becoming completely vegan but as a first step, I've decided to give up eggs (i.e. I'm vegetarian but also don't eat eggs).
I think it's easy to avoid the stuff the obvious stuff that has eggs (i.e. actually an egg product or has mayo or pretty much most cakes). But there are somethings that are more subtle that contain eggs such as pastries, falafel, some biscuits, some ice creams etc. If it's a product from the supermarket, I'm happy to check the ingredients but if it's a pre-made thing then what are some of the gotcha type products that contain eggs which are not that obvious?

Some soba noodles contain eggs and some do not. Same with pasta, though usually the egg noodles will be labeled as such. There may be some breads with eggs. Gluten free breads tend to have egg in them but not always. Not sure off hand what else. Like Vegan Dave said, you just have to read labels and not assume.
