Well, I am doing what NO ONE thought I would ever do: I'm getting married this coming Saturday. It's going to be a completely non-traditional ceremony (justice of peace, we are wearing bowling shirts, our rings will be tattooed on our fingers, all the food served will be Vegan, the music played at the party will be chock-full of swearing, no honeymoon/bachelor party, and the night will end at a bowling alley getting drunk).

My fiance is Vegan (11 years and counting) and I am Vegan (my 1 year veganversary will be may 14th). This will be our first marriage (and we are doing it for all the LEGAL benefits, whereas matters of the heart/emotions are completely POLY).

Any advice for us from the married folks on here, lol!

No advice to offer, just congrats! And your shindig sounds like a good old time. I think it's great when people aren't afraid to do things their own way. Can we come??

Congrats from another vegan married couple.

advice: you're a team. it's a give and take. 2 people together long term is not easy. ups and downs. the trick is to minimize the downs. Enjoy your life together. Nothing better than that feeling of comfort in being with the same person long term.

Congrats! It's great that you're getting married the way YOU want.

I've never been married, so the only advice I can think of is to share the chores around the house.

Congrats! I just got married last week, but it's my second time around so I do have a little advice. Remember why you got married in the first place and take care of the little things before they turn into big things. As long as the two of you are committed to each other and making the relationship work you'll be fine. Enjoy your day!

Congratulations! I've been married forever (28 years!) And I think the best advice I could give is this: keep your long-term goals in focus, keep you finances under control, and share the household chores. And always be generous with your love for each other.

Based on the quote, invest in a good attorney. Hope it works out for you.

Hell yes! My mom is making 4 different types of Vegan Cupcakes from "Vegan cupcakes take over the world" instead of a traditional cake
