I found something interesting about one of the video game systems that came out recently (the Nintendo Wii). While it obviously does not replace outdoor activity, after playing it, I found it to give what one could call a little workout

In particular, it was with the sports game that comes by default with the system. It actually requires you to be interactive wth the system(swinging, throwing, etc), and speed does actually make a difference. It has you imitate movements such as throwing a bowlong ball, swinging a golf club, a bat, or a tenins racket.

It was very easy to get used to the system and was quite fun. Have any of you had a chance to see a demonstration of this. I guess they got enough complaints from parents about children sitting in front of the television moving their thumbs and they finally did something about it.
