I thought there were some pretty funny bits in it, but I didn't find the fat bashing funny... What about us curvy vegan gals?

Ah, the fat scene!... My girlfriend said the same thing!

"What about the curvy vegan girls", you say? Curvy is great.. unfortunately people in America who eat shmeat end up being one complete 360' curve -- which is what this cartoon is referring to. I noticed you are from Germany... you probably haven't seen such people. You need to go to a fast-food joint somewhere in Mid-Southern US, and wait for someone to come up and order the entire $1 menu (it won't take long). If you plan on taking pictures, pack the wide lens...

I'm not going to lay any vegan with glasses that oversized. I'm sorry, that's just how it is.

But you're alright with the monstrous head-to-body-size ratio and the 45 year old man voice?? Drop the glasses, you're easy to please! ; )

Haha, well, boyfriend, if you are on this message board, make a good mental note of the above glasses comment.

How many vegans have you met in your life? Seriously, vegan does not equate to healthy and willowy.

It doesn't equate, sure, but there's a STRONG correlation. Unless they're eating only french fries and bread, vegans don't become overweight, and certainly not obese (I'm talking Texas obese here).

When I went to the vegan/vegetarian food festival in Boston, MA last year, there wasn't one fat person in sight...

The idea that vegan = skinny is a total myth, and that "vegans don't become overweight unless they only eat chips" is just a lie. People become overweight for a whole load of reasons, not just what they eat (but how much they eat, health problems, exersise, emotional problems, etc etc etc). Vegans may be thinner than your average Joe - I don't know - but at the biggest vegan fayre in the world (according to them, bristol vegan fayre) I saw what I considered a pretty fair representation of the average population in size (I did see a much higher than average amount of dreadlocks!).
