Students for Ethical Animal Treatment at the University of Missouri-Columbia now has a Web site. Designed by a SEAT member, this professional and intuitive site outlines SEAT's activist mission, provides online membership and offers free animal rights software (also designed by SEAT). You can keep tabs on SEAT activities by checking out meeting minutes or signing up for an e-mail newsletter. Check it out at http://www.seatmu.org/ click around and tell SEAT what you think!

I see you had Gary Yourofsky speak. He was here a few months ago and I believe he'll be back in another month or two. I thought he was pretty good. I was kind of mad though cause I took him a vegan pastry and he didn't even say thanks.

Anyway, I've been thinking of doing something similar, I want to distribute a cd-rom with a 2-week vegan meal plan. Just haven't gotten around to it. I'll order yours, maybe it will inspire me.

You should consider just making it available for download. That would save you some shipping and plus that way people could always get the latest version.

Thanks for posting the info. Feel free to hang around.

We'd love to put it up for download, but that isn't currently feasible. Our CD-ROM has over two hours of video, making it just about 620 MB. We will be offering a complete vegan nutrition planner and food guide for download soon, which will also be distributed in a "Vegetarian Starter Kit" or "Why Vegan?" like pamplet. The goal of our current CD-ROM, though, is really mass distribution. We'd like to encourage copying and random, public distribution (which can be done very cheaply if you take advantage of rebates at big electronic stores). We've already been contacted by several groups wanting to use it at tabling events, which the CD is ideal for because it is essentially a very general introduction to all major aspects of animal rights. Thanks for your interest.

(Old thread I know, but anyway...)

I think his website is really well written and very persuasive.

http://www.adaptt.org/

I'd love to hear him speak, although I suspect the animal-hating government we unfortunately have here in the UK wouldn't even grant him a visa.

What's he like as a speaker?
