Have you ever seen them made with the pastel-colored mini marshmallows? I have, at potluck dinners. It is a sickening sight, let me tell you. There are some foods that are not meant to go together. Also some foods that are not meant to be pastel colored.

Let's see: tofu, veggie burgers, seitan, tempeh, broccoli, spinach, various cabbages, kale, tomatoes, zucchini, bananas, vegetable sushi, sweet potatoes, soy milk, enchiladas, guacamole, hummus, falafel, brown rice, whole wheat bread, dark chocolate...I could keep listing things if I wanted to, but this list tells you how picky an eater I was before I became a vegetarian. I think I lived almost entirely off of white pastas and white rice with some chicken and beef thrown in. Ugh. Thank God those boring days of eating are over.![]()
That is just so wrong.
Yes, bananas. Odd as it sounds. I thought I'd hate them until I tried one. I was an extremely picky eater as a child. My poor parents had a very difficult time of getting me to eat food that wasn't junk. There was a time I wouldn't even eat pizza, I was that bad. My sister was the same way (she still is pretty picky about a lot of things--I grew out of it, but it took some time). My parents would have to make something separate on the side for us (or get us a happy meal from somewhere) when they wanted some pizza.
Wow, a kid that doesn't like pizza. I think you were definitely in the minority with that one. Usually that's one of the few things a kid WILL eat.Originally Posted by tearhsong2

I used to work with a lady who would melt those marshmallow peeps on top of a baked sweet potato. *shudder*
