So does the guy below just not like dogs or was your new dog's barking driving him nuts?

Even if something is allowed it does not abrogate your responsibility to one's neighbors. They have a reasonable right to peace and quiet. Even if you have a model dog you are going to run into people in apartment complexes that will complain about pets and make your life hell, part of pet ownership while renting. Sucks but that's life.

I'd be grumpy too if I got woke up by my neighbors at 5am every morning
. Long time ago I lived in an apartment complex and the peeps upstairs had a baby, they let the poor kid cry for hours. Major suckage. Last apartment complex I ever lived in.

I don't think your weight has anything to do with it. It sounds like you have a case of douchey-neighbor syndrome. Welcome to apartment life.

lol, all neighbors are douchey, at least it seems like it.

I once had to leash up my cat cause the neighbors liked to feed birds and my cat like to feed on birds. Most convenient place was by their bird feeder. At the time I thought they were douches and I'm sure they felt the same.

There is a family that lives DOWNSTAIRS from me and somehow I can hear them slamming and thumping things around at odd hours in the morning and night. I didn't even know that was possible.

People should have to pay safety deposits for every child they let live in their apartment with them.

I can relate. I was once living in an 82 yr old apartment when I was still in school. I would stay up late to typing my laptop to finish papers (of course). My neighbor downstairs would complain that he could hear me typing. WTF. Sorry, buddy, I am not going to stop working on my paper. I didn't complain about his snoring. That is why when you move into an old apartment building you know you're gonna need ear plugs no matter what!

It's not your fault, it's the neighbor. You're allowed to have pets in the apartment complex, therefore he has no right to complain.

just nervous that whoever is put down their next is gonna complain as well!
Count on it, lol, (I have such a high regard for most of our fellow humans). But good luck with the new neighbor none the less.

Depends. All apartments allow people, doesn't mean peeps don't have legitimate complaints just because people are allowed.
