My cats spend enough time in the bathroom already I could just imagine what it would be like if we had one of these.

Yeah, the aquarium is basically a seperate piece.

I generally don't like using living creatures as decoration. Decorating your bathroom with them seems downright disrespectful. When I had fish, I like to sit next to the tank and watch them, sometimes even talk to them (when I was younger). In the bathroom, they would probably only get that kind of attention from children. Not that fish need a lot of attention, but I think it's healthy to give that respect to all creatures you share your home with.

And I can't change or use the restroom in front of any of my pets. Fish I might be able to handle, but I would feel weird showing my bare bottom to them every day.

EDIT: So as not to be a total downer, it does look really cool.

I don't understand the picture at all. I don't even know where you sit. On top of the fishies?

It's only 2.2 gallons? There's not many fish I'd be willing to put in such a small tank. It's a nifty idea, but the tank needs to be much larger if you're going to put fish in it.

I guess you would have to use small fish like guppies or maybe rainbow fish I think if I remember right it is an inch of fish per gallon of water?

Also, for advertisement purposes, they are showing a lot of fish in there. If it's only a 2.2 gallon tank, there needs to be no more than 1 or 2 fish in there, and that's when they are full grown and are both an inch or less.

Ugh. Right, because animals are here for our entertainment.

Even then it's still cruel, unless you have ghost shrimp or something really small and not that smart/social.

If this were a much larger tank it would be a good idea. It would be an even greater idea if it would clean itself on every hundredth flush or something.

I kind of like the idea of a regular size fish tank in the bathroom. With small kids you spend a lot of time in there anyway. I'm not ready for fish in this time of my life though too big a comitment

Whoa that's crazy. I think it looks cool, but I would be afraid of the thing malfunctioning and flushing away the fish. Plus I don't like the idea of using them as decoration, I mean unless you're a real fish nut and love them so much you want them everywhere . . lol

I think that the working mechanisms of the toilet are surrounded by a seperate plastic case, so I am betting they aren't harmed. I don't know if I would feel comfortable with a bunch of fish seeing my bum on a regular basis.

Well, at least when the fish... expire, if you will, it's a quick trip to burial at sea!
