I was talking to my Dad the other day, and he said that he has never hated a film so badly he considered walking out of the theatre.

I have never walked out of a flim. They cost e-bloody-nough to see so I'm sticking with it. But, I have been close to walking out of the following. Im sure theres more and will try to remember, but these stick in my head:

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. How did this get such good reviews? All of my friends were so bored.
We Need to Talk About Kevin. I did not enjoy the book, the film was actually worse. TOO arty to the point it barely made sense, and I knew rather quickly that they had completely destroyed (and deleted) the twist of the book. My friend likes to remind me how I owe him one since I made him sit through it.

Ive never walked out of a film due to being offended, I think Im too young so used to being shocked by cinema.

So what about everyone else?

I agree about Benjamin Button.

Mine are:

Tree of Life
The Trip
Superbad
Knocked Up
Titanic

I'll think of more, but those are the ones that stand out.

The only movie I can remember ever walking out of was "Deep Blue Sea". It probably wasn't even that bad. I just remember all these horrible things happening to this one character, and it pissed me off so much that I didn't want to finish watching it.

I really wanted to walk out of "The Truth About Charlie". (but didn't) The camera work in that movie was incredibly weird, and it was just really unpleasant to watch.

I'm sure there are more, but usually if I don't finish watching a movie, it's because I think it's boring. That's probably why I'm having a hard time thinking of any more right now. Any movie that I won't finish watching probably didn't make much of an impression on me. Even if a movie is really stupid, I might finish watching it just so I can make fun of how bad it is.

What was wrong with Superbad and Knocked Up? Are you not a Judd Apatow fan?
Titanic was awful and neverending. I wish I had walked out on that movie and can erase it from my memory altogether.

Quote:

I refuse to ever see this movie and all movies with that same subject matter.

I really wanted to walk out on the last Lord of the Rings movie. OMFG! Frodo took forever throwing that damn ring away! The movie was way too damn long. I remember practically sprinting out of the theater once the credits started.

I've never walked out of a movie before, but I did have to pee really, really bad early on in a movie, and held it for the entire movie because I didn't want to miss the good part. The good part never happened. The movie was Mr. Wrong. The best part of that movie was that it had an ending.

Moulin Rouge. I've never actually walked out of a theater, but I have rented movies that I didn't finish. This is the only one I can think of right now. I did eventually watch it all the way through. Still don't like it.

One of the first movies my husband and I saw on a date was Lost Souls. The film sucked so bad, our seats were terrible in the very first row so that you had to sit with your neck back the entire time because the theater was packed, it was just the perfect storm. Wanted so badly to walk out but it was one of our first dates so both of us decided to soldier on. We still laugh about that experience.
