But I mean eat exactly or 30 minutes before you go to bed.

My problem is every time I eat, I get energy again and can't fall asleep. It's a catch 22. I can't sleep if I'm hungry and can't sleep if I've eaten.

Quote:

I was a chronic over eater and ate for all reasons, including no reason at all. I went on a 3 day fruit fast and it did something to my relay from belly to brain, and now I eat when I'm actually hungry and can tell when I'm full, which has really cut out a ton of extra calories. Maybe that would help? Also, is it possible you have low blood sugar? I have low blood sugar and have to eat something carb loaded before bed or else my body feels...weird.

I'm not eating for no reason though, I'm eating because I'm starving. Stomach growling, stomach pains, hunger signal in brain. I really think it's my medicine, that's when the problem started. I've been eating REALLY good lately (except the day my period started and today but I'm doing much better than before), but I'm still hungry. I'm snacking on sunflower seeds now. Going to eat something else before bed. I do think I have blood sugar issues, that's why I try to have snacks throughout the day and night.

Did level 2 of the 30 Day Shred today, and I liked it better than level 1. Also had lettuce for the first time in way too long... and I'm trying to drink lots of water right now.

Is this a thread for athletic goals as well?

I've changed my diet a bit and it's really helped me get back on track. I don't think I was consuming enough calories for my activity level. I've upped my total a bit, mainly by including peanut butter to get some extra fat/protein, and it seems to be helping with my weight loss and energy...

Quote:

Level 2 is a fun change from Level 1. Sadly, I did the Jillian Michaels DVD's for over 2 months and didn't lose a single pound or inch. I did get more strength in my muscles though.

There is the "Calling All Hamsters" thread (physical fitness for those not physically fit ) and there used to be a thread in the fitness forum for logging goals and activity. We can start a new one in the fitness forum, or, if you consider it relevant enough to your February weight loss goals, go ahead an post here

Being able to do one-handed push-ups and pistol squats is certainly related to my weight though.

I have lost 2 lbs so that means I have lost 8 lbs since the start of the year.

I still have to lose 5 lbs to get back to my pre-Christmas weight and then I want to lose about 20 lbs more but I will try to focus on smaller goals lol.

I really think you should see a doctor to try to switch to a different allergy med. This was exactly the same problem I was having when I was using Zyrtec. When I was hungry, it was a feeling of deep pain and emptiness, and I HAD to eat. I have some blood sugar issues, and they were made worse when I was using Zyrtec, as well.

I'm definitely making an appointment soon. My schedule for half of next week was just posted, I'm going to try to get an appointment tomorrow or on Tuesday. You described it well, deep pain and emptiness. Not eating isn't an option and no matter how healthy I eat, I'm unsatisfied. I can't do this anymore, I'm not happy

Had a great weekend exercise-wise but not so much food-wise ;-). I logged 10 miles of walking, but I overate on Sunday. No real reason for it that I could determine other than I felt like it, lol. Had too many unhealthy snacks, but I've been on track all day today. Was going to do the treadmill, but alas, my period decided on an encore after the week it finished and I've had a nasty headache all day. Blah. Will get my butt to the gym tomorrow for some elliptical and treadmill.

I had a cold, so couldn't run, so I gained. I don't know what I'll do if I stop being able to run more permanently

Managed to lose half a pound this week, despite my mini-feast on Sunday . Whew! Am off to the gym for a workout.

I walked somewhere around 2.5 miles yesterday (that's a guess...), and got about 20 minutes of playing around with kids in - running, jumping, piggy-back, etc - which is good. Probably going to stretch but not work out today, and will do both tomorrow.

I was too spoiled on vacation and didn't cook for a week when I got back home. I gained 3 pounds. Lametastic. And my friends keep asking me to dinners. Grrrr, after this mandatory dinner out I'll be doing a shake fast for a day to get back on track. All i want is fatty foods now!
