Ok.... I need to commit to cutting out diet soda. I fell off the no-diet bandwagon. Hard. I've read that consuming large amounts has the potential to reduce weight loss and I've hit a wall with that, so the soda is OUT!

I'm on vacation to hang out with my manfriend and he treats me too well! Cooking big for me and taking me to restaurants every night, but somehow I've lost another 1.5 pounds in the past week. I've surpassed this month's goal and my goal now is just to maintain what I've got now before I try for the last 5 I need to lose.

Ohhh my dinner last night and lunch today took care of any extra.

Not going to make my 15-workouts-this-month goal, but still trying and also still working on fruit. I'm doing better than last month although if I want to make my goal of 130 pieces of sweet fruit this month I'm going to have to up myself from the goal of 4-5 a day to 7 a day for the rest of the month. Already had 5 today though and will have one or two as a snack later, so it's possible. Also planning to stretch tonight, and to work out in the evening after I visit the landlords (if I get out early enough - that tends to be a problem). Not going to commit to exercising tomorrow morning because it's my day off but I have to go to a meeting at 8 so I can't promise myself I'll get up early enough to exercise, but I'll make a concerted effort!

I just need a couple spoonsful to plop on my baked potato, and you guys can have the rest.

Oops I didn't see which thread this was, I've been getting inspired by all of you by lurking. My goal is to get stronger and healthier with more endurance. My weight is fine, but I am really lazy about exercising. I stretch and do yoga and walk my dog, but as I'm aging (53) I feel my muscle mass shrinking. I'm enjoying all of your progress.

@Envy, you remind me of my son, 19. He is obsessed with pushups and does like 5 different kinds. Knuckle, triangle, fingertip, feet on table, etc. He tries one-armed but hasn't mastered the balance.

I hear you on the diet soda. I'm really trying to wean myself off it for good, but dang, if it isn't a struggle . I've done pretty well this week. Took today off from working out because I worked massive hours at my job between yesterday and today, so I'm pooped. Will get a nice walk in with my sister tomorrow. We'll probably do 5 or 6 miles.

I'm seriously thinking something is wrong with my brain in terms of my eating. Last night, I had a very filling meal (high in protein, peas, starch) and right before bed, I was STARVING. I had some crackers and it didn't touch it. I was hungry for another meal. I had a little more, then went to bed hungry. So odd. I'm hoping switching allergy meds will solve the problem.

Pure proteins?

High in protein, less of the other macro-nutrients.

Like? That's what I did. I had about 50g of protein for dinner.

And how much carbohydrates do you think that you consumed?

Just saying that proteins on their own are low in calories and filling, thus suitable before bed.

Not sure. I know the FR had carbs.

Which is why I had a lot, but it didn't help. I really think it's related to my Zyrtec. I've never been so hungry in my life.

I'm kind of curious as to what you guys eat to have to worry about ~teh jigglehness. I've always stayed pretty lean myself, the most i've managed to put on is a little bit of love handle if i start to eat tons of bread and stop eating fruits and protein shake- I always wear away ~jigglehness~ before it arises. If you wanna lose some weight, i'd suggest that limiting whatever you ate before isn't as necessary as just making sure your body starts getting the healthy/stimulating stuff it needs and you'll probably find yourself wearing off anything extra without forcing yourself to run a few miles or do a billion squats a day

I made a huge pot of quinoa with every veggie in the house yesterday. Having things ready to go really helps me to not be tempted by unhealthy convenience foods.

I walked the dog 3 miles this morning and am getting ready to do another workout now.

My pup and I will be hiking tomorrow somewhere. I just wish the snow would melt

I've heard this question before. For me, I was overweight because of what I ate before I became a vegan. It's been in the 5 years AFTER cutting out crappy foods (fast food, pizza, all the non-vegan food) that I've also decided to work on losing weight. Having a vegan diet helps for sure, but really - it's not an automatic ticket to being skinny. Vegans can over eat just the same as any omni... there is just as much vegan junk food out there (HELLO Coconut Ice-cream! What? You're 300 cals for 1/4 cup? Don'tmindifIdo!) as non-vegan junk food. And any person (regardless of diet) could use support in staying fit/ toning up/looking their best.

Hope that helps a bit

I was a chronic over eater and ate for all reasons, including no reason at all. I went on a 3 day fruit fast and it did something to my relay from belly to brain, and now I eat when I'm actually hungry and can tell when I'm full, which has really cut out a ton of extra calories. Maybe that would help? Also, is it possible you have low blood sugar? I have low blood sugar and have to eat something carb loaded before bed or else my body feels...weird.
