I love pinot noir...it is so good, I can't get enough of it. What is your favorite wine?

FYI, white wine is a disgrace to wine everywhere.

Haha. I think my husband will disagree. I don't drink, but he does enjoy a nice pino grigio, or a nice pino noir as well.
I like pinot grigio, but there are only a few that I've had that really were good. Too bad I can never remember which ones I like. I really need to start keeping a wine journal. (I've been saying this for years.)
For reds, I like a good pinot noir or a shiraz. Some of the zinfandels (not white zins, but true zins) are pretty good also. For whites, I like good oaky chardonnays and light, fruity pinots. Good French roses are nice, too--especially in the summer. I'm kind of a wine snob. For my law school graduation present this may, my husband is taking me to CA's wine country.

Well, I really don't know. *peeks inside paper bag*

Oh, it's Gallo.

Sorry about that, I just couldn't resist.

Hmm. I hardly drink wine so I don't have a favorite. I have drank white wine (sorry!) with blended fruit for bellinis, I also like Maneshewitz Grape Wine with Ginger Ale/ Seltzer water. Yeah, I love mixed drinks. I hate beer however. Every beer I have tasted is vile.

The movie Sideways made me want to visit wine country so badly!

If you are a wine snob lol, you should check out www.letstalkwine.com. They really know about wine.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of pinot noir. I really like Estancia Pinot Noir (although I admit that I don't know what it's filtering process is). It's smooth and without bite and has a deep berry flavor that's perfect with... well... just about anything. It's one of those wines that I keep around my house all the time for cooking and sipping. So good.

I also really enjoy zinfendel (not white zinfendel
. Chilled wines just don't taste right to me.).

I'm an old school Chardonnay drinker. I like Pinot Grigio too. I like red, but it gives me a wicked sinus headache the next day, even just one glass. White does if I drink too much (3 glasses). Beer never does me like that, so I will assume it's something in the wine fermentation process. I don't drink cheap wine though, so it's not that.
i'm a big fan of wine...although i'm definitely not a wine snob.

my favorite is red...shiraz, pinot noir, cabernet, merlot, syrah...i like them all. some brands have mixes of two of the above, which are usually pretty good.

i also recently discovered beaujolais, which is a nice, light red wine.

i don't drink much white wine...although moscato is good if i'm in the mood for something sweet. and this past summer, i was at a winery in southern illinois that makes all their wine from apples. they make a kind called orchard spice, which tastes like apple cider with a kick. it's sooo good.

and sparkling wine like spumante is delicious...that might fall more in the champagne category though.

it's funny, because i used to love, love, love white zin and anything blush when i was in college, but now that's the last type of wine i would choose. i think your taste buds eventually graduate like they do with many other food and drink items...

ok, i feel i've gone on too long...i'm really only a borderline alcy.

I love beaujolais--especially the beaujolais nouveau when it hits stores in the fall! It's so light--you can drink it with almost anything!

And don't forget that the only champagne is real French champagne, made in the Champagne region of France. Everything else is sparkling wine, although some cavas are pretty close to true champagne, largely because they, like real champagne, ferment in the bottle. Most other sparkling wines are artificially carbonated.

My husband just bought me this great wine a couple of weeks ago. It is Pineto Marenco something. Very yummy.

Bernadino and Aquila..

Im all about the cheap wine.

Leaping Lizard Pinot Noir...it's like a party in your mouth!

And Rancho Zabacho "Dancing Bull" Zinfandel. (It's a very dark red. A lot of people think I'm talking about white zinfandel, but that stuff's just horrid.)

Also, Skylark, was I the one who first told you about rieslings? Just curious.
revel, I'd had it before and was trying to remember the name when you helped me out.
