I was on Facebook the other night chatting with a friend. I really do not know how to use Facebook. Anyway, during our chat he was giving me some information, and I was scribbling it down on a piece of paper. Which was kind of dumb, since I easily lose notes on a piece of paper.

My question is: Is there any control in Facebook chat to log the chat automatically?

(I used to chat on IRC using mIRC as a client, and that has a check-box where you have the option of logging all your chats automatically.)

I e-mailed a friend, who gave me one answer but through which I found another.

1) There is an add-on app to Firefox called Facebook Chat History Manager that does this.

2) There may be (according to a comment in one of the reviews) a feature built in to Firefox 4.0 to do this. I am now using v. 3.67
