Exercise question...

1613 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  onyx
I love to exercise! With my lifestyle and time constraints, it works out better for me to do several shorter intervals of exercise a day rather than one longer one. I mostly walk, jog, do aerobic type videos, and do yoga. I try to be active for at least an hour every day. I was wondering, is there any benefit to longer exercise sessions? For example...if I have an hour total to jog/walk in one day, is there a benefit to a one hour jog over two 30 minute jogs? I just don't seem to have the time or inclination to exercise for more than 30-45 minutes at a time and I hope my results will be approximately the same.

Thanks for any words of wisdom.

I think I've read somewhere that you get the same benefits from exercise if you spread it out over the course of day as you do if you do it all at one time.
