I agree, I am the only vegan/vegetarian that I know (or choose to associate with...I cannot make myself be friends with my ex over this) so I am busting at the seams when I accomplish something. My boyfriend will listen and tell me how proud he is of me, but I want someone to relate to about it. This is where veggieboards comes in. Honestly, without veggieboards and my diary, I would have run through the streets screaming about it. Everyone on here can appreicate your efforts and knows how hard it can be. ...and it turns out at least one person (other than my fellow veggies on this board) doesn't think I am crazy. My dad (who lives 1000 miles away) let me tell him all about why I became a vegan and seemed genuinely convinced it was healthier. He even watched the "raw for 30 days" clip that I found on another thread and tried to get a copy of "The China Study" from the library (they didn't have one). NOw, him listening to me and him actually changing his habits are two completely different things......we shall see.

It's like the time I was trying to quit drinking coffee. Because I know I am an interesting person and others have a deep concern for the strange and daily goings on of my life, I shared this fact with a few people.<br><br><br><br>

First of all, good for you for trying to kick the coffee habit- I know that can be tough. But, do you mind me asking what your motivation is? Are you trying to avoid all caffeine or just coffee?<br><br><br><br>
I am asking b/c I have heard so many studies on both sides of the issue as far as whether caffeine is good or bad, I can't decide what I want to try and do with my own diet. Lately, I have been replacing my coffee with mint green tea.....
