any advice for a body thats gone crazy?? no matter how i sit or lie i seem to get no relief from this dull aching that's everywhere.

whole body has that feeling of when part of you has had pins and needles and then right after that you get a strange cramp thing.

yup. back , quads, kneck. everything. its not like a 'sore muscle' ache but i guess thats what it is. its more..kind of..nervy. i dont know. hard to explain but its day 3 and not pleasant. nothing seems to work. stretching, hot showers, nothing.

taurushead, if it's severe, go see your doc. are you eating well? (vitamin and nutrient wise)? fibromyalgia in the family? moved some heavy boxes? it could be a million things.

I ache too. My legs in particular. It's been going on since I started trying to recover. However, I ached quite a bit too when I was ill, but I thought that was just my muscles crying from being deprived of any goodness for so long Things we do, eh?

But now I hurt despite eating stuff these days. Crazy ol' world

are you doing any exercise? i know you are in recovery.

i'm quite interested in your symptoms as i'm suffering from terrible muscle pains and joint pains mostly in my legs, knees, and ankles

I've practiced yoga for many years. There are a couple of postures that really help - inversions and forward bends.

Try something easy like supported shoulderstand. Lie on your back with your feet up against the wall, make sure your sacrum touches the wall (ie your back must be completely flat not arched). Put your leg up - together to start with and then legs spread. http://www.beyondmainstream.com/health/img/yoga_2.jpg

Lie like that for a very long time (20 minutes) whilst the blood rushes through to your head. Cover your eyes with a cloth and relax. Play some relaxing music.

Or easy forward bend. http://www.sbwellnessdirectory.com/i...rward-bend.jpg again hold for 20 minutes or so

this isn't uncommon for people who are malnourished. since you are in recovery, continue to work on nourishing yourself deeply.

Might be an electrolyte disorder. But better have checked with your GP.

really?! wow. overwhelming response. im eating well ( a little TOO well..i think. full constantly. mainly wholefoods but junk hear and there. lots of vitamins etc. so i wouldn't have thought i was malnourished. haven't gained that much weight but eating double what a normal person seems to eat this week. possibly because insomnia makes me hungry. sigh. see other thread :/ )

electrolyte imbalance is what my housemate was saying actually. and i had an appointment with a GP for something else anyway so now ill ask her about this without feeling silly thanks!

watermelon is good for helping with electrolyte balance as is the water/juice inside of a coconut.

really?? thanks!!

my friend said something to do with salt. she said to eat more of it. but doing that means going over the 1500 or whatever they recommend, which ive recently started eating (prior to the last two weeks avoided salt like plague)

It sounds like your tired. You say you can't sleep. Please take it easy and rest a lot. Be nice to yourself and don't push your body.

Do you water-load? That could cause an imbalance of minerals but I think its very unlikely you have electrolyte imbalance particuarly if you are taking minerals.

Maybe you aren't having enough sodium. Try to season with soy sauce (contains lots of sodium).
