epinephrine/adrenaline

I just read on a site that adrenaline is an animal product. I have some severe allergies that I have to carry an epi-pen ( a shot of adrenaline) for. So I'm not sure what to think of this, because as much as I care for the lives and suffering of animals, I care about my life and suffering too.
When I have an anaphylactic reaction, I could die without a shot of epinephrine.

No one sane is going to tell you not to use it.

Most of us take medicine that has without doubt been tested on animals and may include animal ingredients like gelatin coating or hormones like premarin.

The most common definition of vegan is "the exclusion of animal products wherever possible and practical." Going into shock and dying is neither.

Although we as Vegans are concerned about animal welfare, sometimes we have to be selfish and put ourselves first.

I'd be surprised if it always came from animal sources. It's used so commonly in hospitals that I'd think it's made synthetically. Too bad you can't just "bank" the epinephrine your own body produces, for later use!

IT ALWAYS COMES FROM ANIMALS! Even synthetic epinephrine is synthesised from Tyrosine which is synthesised from Phenylalanine which they ALSO GET FROM ANIMALS OR ANIMAL BYPRODUCTS! Not only that, it is extracted while the animal is alive and in a state of fear. The pharmaceutical industry is the laziest and most barbarous of industrys on the Earth because they exploit life for their own monetary gain. They have no interest on human or animal life because if they did, they would source these amino acids directly from plant based sources. Also, if the doctors in the world were not just based physically but holistically, we WOULDN'T GET SICK BECAUSE WE WOULD UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF DISEASE! Thankfully there are being coming into this world with non-selfish motives but unless people realise that they themselves are their own healer or their own destroyer by what they think, feel and put into their bodies then we are doomed to follow the ignorance and complacency of those who deem to know better but in fact have no real interest in solving these issues.
