why was this forum placed under 'other issues'. Nobody has posted a thing in other issues, and now environmental issues is more difficult to locate. Which I think explains the recent lack of posts in this forum. Many of us really enjoy reading this forum (or let me speak for myself...I love reading this forum)...and from what I've seen a lot of fruitful discussion comes from here. Since there have been no posts under 'other issues' after several weeks, what is the point in having it?

I would like to go on record saying that I would like environmental issues to be it's own forum again, and not a sub-forum.

I totally agree with you! I have had real trouble posting on the 'Environmental Issues forum' and i wonder if that's got anything to do with the fact it's only a sub-forum??!!

I wanted to let everyone know about a great 'Ecomagination Challenge' from MTVu that i found. It allows students to come up with innovative and groundbreaking ideas in order to make their schools more environmentally responsible. The winner or winners (it can be a team) win $25,000 to make their project come to life and an MTVu concert on their campus! I think it's a great idea that finally an interest is being taken in our environment! Check out the website at ecocollegechallenge(dot)com. Does anyone have any cool ideas? If you do let me know if you enter them and i'll cheer for you!

Yeah, I'd like to see Environmental Issues given more prominence, seeing as many people choose veg*ism because of environmental reasons...

Still nothing on this, and the environmental issues thread is still lagging in oblivion under another category. I'm not sure why this ever happened, and the fact that my thread was not even answered by a mod leaves me feeling....well, perhaps the mods had a difficult time finding my thread as well.

Anyhoo...small annoyance in the grand scheme of things. but I agree with Ludi that environmental issues should not be some small subcategory as that is a major reason for many going vegetarian in the first place.

As a newbie here and one very intersted in environmental issues i'll second that this thread was tricky to find and third the fact that I'd love to see 'environmenal issues' as it's own thread.

on a side note... sub threads wish I'd known about them, I found the 'women's health' thead AFTER posting about the keeper in 'product reviews'

but then again I was able to get a sppedy reader response there...

I agree that it should be a subforum that can be seen on the front page. 'Other issues' would then be either another subforum on the same level with activism, AR etc., or then it would disappear.

Environmental issues are very important to me (and are important to everyone else in the world, whether they realize it or not!).

Please feel free to visit my environmental veg web page:

'Environmental Issues' is at least as important as 'Digging in the Dirt'.

Please bring it back to the front (?)

Does it matter? Are there people that don't use the New Post button?

Actually I don't use the new post button....also, if I want to post something there, at one time I could just click the link....now I click two links. Frankly, I've found that I don't read it or post in it as much because I simply often do not have that kind of time when I'm online...it is often very much a hit and run situation with posting for me.

I know that people who don't use that forum very often don't tend to care, but those of us who post and read there do. Other issues is still fairly empty. But environmental issues has a lot of threads.

In this day and age with the global warming threat and everything, it is nothing less than a tragedy that more than 3 months later the Environmental Issues forum is still under "Other Issues".

Second that hear hear!

I don't think environments issues should be a 'subforum' I think it should have its own separate one.

(since I mentioned it, even though it is off topic, I hate the subforums structure- esp the fun n games under veggie patch - fun n games has so many posts it should just be a separate forum)
