Hollywood siren Elizabeth Taylor has died at the age of 79.

Taylor had been hospitalized for the last six weeks for symptoms of congestive heart failure. She died Wednesday morning surrounded by her children: Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd, and Maria Burton, Taylor's publicist, Sally Morrison, said in a statement.

http://montreal.ctv.ca/servlet/an/lo...b=MontrealHome

I was saddened too. The end of another era.

There has not been anyone more beautiful than Elizabeth Taylor in her prime.

"In November 2004, she announced that she had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, a progressive condition in which the heart is too weak to pump sufficient blood throughout the body, particularly to the lower extremities: the ankles and feet. She broke her back five times, had both her hips replaced, survived a benign brain tumor operation and skin cancer, and faced life-threatening bouts with pneumonia twice, one of which (1961), resulted in an emergency tracheotomy."

was really sorry to learn of this....she was a great actress but to me I will remember her mostly because of all her charity work/activism and how she has supported and fought for and helped people with HIV and Aids....she was such a remarkable woman.

Yep I was told by my case worker while were talking about the news about something else while he was checking up on me and how I was doing. However , she will be missed and a great Icon has passed on. However her Legacy will move on to future generations.

I found this quite funny, she was late to her own funeral - at her own request! http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18/20110325...f-c3b52a1.html

Quote:
