So my mom just got this blood typing kit and book that highlights all the things you should and should not eat according to your blood type. Has anyone else ever checked this out? I don't plan on using it because only one of the blood types is vegetarian so if I'm not that one I probably wont even look into it. And even that one is still not vegan so I guess I'll just have to see what my type is. I mainly wanted to ask for my momma. I wanted to ask yall if you had tried it and if it was legit or not? The book is called "Eat Right for Your Type" by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo.

http://www.dadamo.com/

Very much not legit. Walk away from your mother and her new blood-type diet as fast as possible.

Have you ever tried it? I mean I sort of figured it sounded like a bunch of random stuff that you can and can not have..but I just wondered

Wait, they all include meat except one type? Some guy tried to persuade me that he couldn't be pescatarian because his blood type meant he HAD to have meat. Man...

There is no scientific basis for the diet, although I am Type A- which coincidentally is the 'vegetarian' blood type.

Most of the veg*ns I know in real life are O, which ever so happens to be the type that "has" to eat meat.

it has been debunked and referred to as a fad diet, with no legitimate research...and I'm a type A+ and love being veg!

There are no actual research studies or science whatsoever to back that book.

Yep. This was debunked many years ago. I wonder why it keeps coming back? A lot of people don't even know their blood type.

I know a physician's wife who was following it....apparently she was a type that "required" some meat in her diet....UGH! *headslap*

Hmmm.. that doesn't mean that your diet classification according to Blood type will restrict you from eating another food. Always remember, claims by scientists took long years of study before it had been told to the world.
