Hitting the Royals game Friday night for the 4th. Best part is my father-in-law coming to town, he is an awesome guy. Taking him out to his first ball game at the K. Fireworks are spectacular, especially after we whip up on Detroit.

Other than that, **** is going off around the clock...it started Monday and probably won't end until next Monday. One of the most amazing things moving from a small town to the city a few years back are the constant fireworks, 24 hours per day. It's like a war being fought or something. We have to be careful at midnight on the 4th though, a lot of idiots like to fire their guns in the air (customary on New Year's Eve out here too, even heard an AK 47 ringing rounds last NYE). I'll probably be alert and packing, just in case a stray bullet finds its way in this vicinity. Guns and drunks don't mix..
