Since I became vegan, they have come out with SOOOO many chocolates and ice creams (many of those ice creams based on those chocolates).<br><br><br><br>
Today I saw advertised on the TV "Strawberry Ripe" (a strawberry version of "Cherry Ripes")..... I used to LOVE Cherry Ripes. And many chocolate bars (that I used to eat all the time) are now available as ice creams.<br><br><br><br>
I know, I know..... these products involve inexcusable exploitation and are so wasteful.... but damn!.... you know what I mean?<br><br><br><br><br><br>
Disclaimer: I'd rather remain vegan than go back to any of those products; my veganism means more to me than any other aspect of my life.

I think I know what you mean.<br><br><br><br>
First they make you all drooling all over and than it's not vegan.

I thought Id never be satisfied again on the frozen sweet foods section until Soy Delicious. If you ever need some really sweet fix, look for some it.<br><br><br><br>
Its soy ice cream but man do they have a lot of flavors. Of course the usual vanilla or chocolate, but a week back I had peanut butter-chocolate and last night had cookie-avalanche. This stuff makes my mouth water more than regular ice cream ever did.

Oh yeah. Almond Snickers. Every year around easter it's those Cadbury Eggs (well, those have been out before i went vegan, but every year i get reminded of how much i loved 'em). All those limited Edition Edy's flavors. No soy ice cream yet (that i'm aware of) has come out with a Cookie Dough flavor. Those darn chocolate oranges. I never even went into a Godiva Chololatier until after i went vegan.<br><br>
It's also really irritating when there's something you enjoyed in your pre-vegan days that just happened to be vegan then, and then after you go vegan they change the recipe so that it's no longer vegan. "New and Improved!!!!" my arse!<br><br><br><br>
obsidianzebra is now feeling bitter.

And whats up with random items being totally vegan, but then they toss in egg whites. Seriously, wtf is their problem <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":("> Yes yes I know eggs are used to 'hold' the food together, but seriously they cant be that crucial. Those products that have egg whites or just milk protein are a short step from being open to an entirely new market of people (vegans), its a good business move, why dont they just remove that crap!

Isn't it odd that it is the sweeties we miss the most. I miss three muskeeters. I wish they would make a vegan version. I find I like the soy frozen deserts better than ice cream.

like chocolate cream oreos and those new coffee&cream ones, and baskin robbins came out with some new flavours that made me really mad. i've only tried chocolate soy dream and i didn't like it. i didn't like rice dream either. i think i'd like to try tofutti now that i go to a grocery store that carries the stuff. it's so expensive though <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":(">

I never liked many ice creams, and I don't eat them now, but just on Sunday I stopped in the freezer section of the store and realised their was a whole aisle of ice cream (on one side)! There were so many different kinds, including a lot of brands trying to do a Ben and Jerry's type thing. My mom who loves ice cream, said she over heard these two women choosing ice cream, and one said, "Now this one is icecream with miniature ice cream bars in it, now that just ain't right!"<br><br><br><br>
It's crazy. But I admit, I saw one that looked good: Godiva brand dark Belgium chocolate. I like SOy dream chocolate, it tastes like cocopuffs, which I like. I don't buy soy cream, since I really don't like ice cream anyway.

I didn't care for Soy Dream or Rice Dream, or the Toffutti cups (the ice cream sandwhiches are good)... but there's a brand of ice cream that they sell in regular grocery stores called Mocha Mix that I absolutely love. Of all the non-diary ice creams, this is the only one that tasted like real ice cream to me. It's cheaper than Soy Dream, but more expensive than regular ice cream. .

Hey guys...I always wanna give Soy Delicious a big hug. Yummy...organic soy cream! I like all of the stuff alot, PB&C very good, and that new Mocha Fudge stuff. I get it at Trader Joes, cheaper there. I have not tried many soycreams other then Soy Delicious. Tuffuti Cuties the sandwich bars are perty yummy too.<br><br>
Yeah, Newman's makes excellent mint vegan "oreos!" I like em alot.<br><br>
I often get this ironic sense when we nitpick over whether to take that little piece of milkfat or egg whites (Hey, it makes EW abbreviated !! ) candy when othersdecide if they want the chicken burger or a cow burger. *snort* They'd go vegetarian if they knew half the **** we knew. ~tori

We don't get half the brands you have mentioned here in the UK <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":("><br><br><br><br>
The only place I have found tofutti is in Tesco. I love the Better Pecan flavour! Swedish glace is lovely though! I have found a tofutti dessert which is much like a vienetta - I forget it's name now rocky something... But I've never come across tofutti cuties though.<br><br><br><br>
I tried a malteasers ice cream last year before I became vegan & it was lovely. I can live without it though.<br><br><br><br>
What really drives me crazy is when they add non-vegan ingredients to previously vegan food to "improve" them! I'm sure nobody can tell the difference!

They did the opposite here..... a product (some sort of 'hot-dog' in a batter, on a stick) did have honey in it; then they dropped the honey and stuck a 'vegan' label on it.<br><br>
Although they disappeared from the shelves soon after that.

My freezer had an accident, now my Mocha Fudge is all crusty and icey!! : p It got unplugged for an hour or two. Wahhh. I like the cookies one too! Cookies and cream was always an ice cream flavour I liked.<br><br><br><br>
I hope someday soon you can buy soy cream in scoop stores. I wanna write to Ben and jerrys...you need to be 18. The sorbet they have is great, but man 31 flavours tastes really bad.
